Although the COVID-19 outbreak continues, a home inspection still remains a vital part of the home buying process. At J. Gregory Home Inspections, we are still working hard to serve our clients and want all parties involved to know that we are taking this situation very seriously. In addition to our regular health, wellness and safety precautions, we stay up-to-the-minute on updates and are closely following the recommendations of the CDC. In order to remain at the forefront of health recommendations we must adapt our policies with each new piece of advice/information provided by both the CDC and local government. We love our community and wish to protect it like a member of our family. In order to do our part, we ask for your understanding and cooperation as we have (temporarily) adjusted our policies in order to limit the potential of unnecessary germ exposure. Rather than encouraging clients to attend the inspection like we normally would, we respectfully request that our clients not attend. Rest assured, we will conduct a very thorough inspection and deliver a detailed report, but in a way that reduces the chances of spreading/contracting the virus by minimizing the risk of contamination. Our inspector will call after the inspection to go through his findings and answer any questions you may have. If requested, our inspector can video chat while at the property to walk you through the deficiencies he has found. Although home occupants rarely attend inspections, we respectfully ask for occupants not to be present during the inspection at this time. If presence is unavoidable, we will ask to maintain the recommended distance by the CDC of 6 feet from our inspector during his time in your home. Along with limiting potential exposure, we have implemented sanitation regulations as follows:
Our inspector will wear a mask, gloves and safety glasses during the entire inspection
Hand Sanitizer will be used before the inspection
Our inspector will be mindful not to touch his face during the inspection
Our inspector will not shake hands, bump fists or conduct any other form of physical greeting
We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to inspect your home and appreciate your patience.
